The Lesson
A Parable

...Then Jesus took his disciples up to the mountain and gathering them around him, he taught them saying:

"Blessed are the meek...
Blessed are they who mourn...
Blessed are the merciful...
Blessed are they that thirst for justice...
Blessed are you when persecuted...
Blessed are you who suffer...
Be glad and rejoice... for your reward is great in heaven...
Remember what I am telling you."

Then Simon Peter said, "Yo... Do we gotta write this down?"
And Andrew said, "Yeah... We supposed to like know this?"
And Bartholomew said, "Do we gotta turn this in?"
And John said, "Yo... Them other disciples didn’t have to learn this."
And Matthew said, "When we outta here, dog?"
And Judas said, "What 'dis have to do with 'real' life?"

... And the other disciples carried on as well.

Then, one of the Pharisees who was present asked to see Jesus’ lesson plan. He inquired of Jesus his learner outcomes in the cognitive domain, as well as his anticipatory set, modeling and closure.

And Jesus wept...
